Flanagan Brings Creative and Marketing Services to Centenary University

Centenary University, Hackettstown, NJ, has leveraged a broad spectrum of marketing consultant Wendy Flanagan’s creative and marketing skills over the past 24 months. 

Flanagan began her time at Centenary University with evaluation of existing media buying and budget allocation. She renegotiated existing contracts to better meet the needs of the university and established a baseline against which all future endeavors and campaigns could work.

She established the marketing goals for various degree programs and built the budget projections, messaging, design, schedule and timing against which the marketing initiaitves would need to be active in order to produce the desired results in keeping with enrollment deadlines and goals.

In her time at Centenary University, she became an integrated part of the overall campus, encouraging faculty and staff to better communicate their activities and achievement, as well as those of their students.

From logo design and print collateral design to website updates and management, social media content direction, video creative direction, online campus tour, ad management, direct mail campaigns, email marketing and marketing automation, Flanagan supplied a wide range of specialized solutions for enrollment marketing and the general marketing communications at Centenary University. Campaigns were created for the undergraduate RN to BSN program and the Working BA program, and for graduate programs in Education and Business. Working with the faculty content owners and department chairs, collateral was developed for the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Much of the work was dedicated to updating content that had languished during Covid-19, and communicating events and activities to better present the vibrant educational community that Centenary University brings to New Jersey. Emphasis in media buying was shifted from traditional to digital media to maximize tracking and targeted conversions.

Finally, she identified areas for operational improvement and prioritized various initiatives, establishing budgets and identifying potential suppliers to achieve those goals. She implemented enterprise brand management online and assisted faculty and staff in leveraging new tools. Flanagan worked closely with the internal transition team and chosen agency, providing background, identifying prior obstacles, and suggesting recommendations.
